Praise and Recognition
How to do this sincerely, effectively, and motivationally.

It's one thing to create awards and to recognize people in your organization, but there's one other element to consider;Your Words. In addition to giving a symbol of your appreciation why not tell those people what they mean to you.  You'll see that a little bit can go a long way.

Ground Rules:
1. Praise publicly and praise privately, but only criticize privately.
2. Use praise to ‘sandwich’ a criticism.
3. Praise identifiable, repeatable actions, not personality traits.
4. Be clear about what is being praised: not just the result, but the actions that led to the result.
5. Use definite and specific language – generic praise is worse than no praise at all.
6. Form the habit of catching people doing things right.
